dma Clinical Pilates

Very Brief History:

Clinical Pilates was founded back in the 1920s and has been modernised over the century by various fitness enthusiasts including Joseph Pilates who developed the Reformer and Trapeze table during and post-WW2 for rehabilitation of bed-ridden patients utilising resistance devices.

What is it?

Clinical Pilates is a useful and effective technique to develop muscles of the human body. dma Clinical Pilates aims to stimulate the nervous system involved in movement and can improve symptomatic issues relating to your vital organs. We do this by utilising the Movement Based Classification & Treatment (MBCT) approach, which uses movement impairment as a basis for diagnosis and then treatment. Dma Clinical Pilates aims to create a personalised exercise program based on your movement patterns and your presenting complaint/s. The end goal will be to improve your spinal stability and day-to-day movement.

Why do it?

dma Clinical Pilates is for everyone, especially if you are suffering from acute or chronic pain, or wanting to add something different to your exercise program. dma Clinical Pilates is effective in treating a range of conditions including low back pain, osteoarthritis, pelvic floor issues, ACL injuries, spinal cord injuries, and autonomic dysfunction conditions such as Chronic Pain Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Hypermobility, Central Sensitisation and many more. It can also be utilised in preventative, pre-operative, and post-operative rehabilitation for hip and knee replacements, joint arthroscopes, rotator cuff tendon repair, neck and spinal surgery, and ACL reconstruction or repair.

Clinical Pilates is available at EGOC!!
